Hi,
My CC5 ods will play with Vista but there is no siund for armour, mortor or tank guns. Without any mod intalled the game works fine, but as sson as i install BOB or SAS the heavy weapons have no sound. I tried reloading the plugins and config manager, any suggestiions?

Its funny that the original sound files work for you but the mod sounds don't. They are all just wav files packed into an sfx archive. Perhaps Vista is using newer codecs that don't work for all the older wav versions. Most of the modders use a little program called GoldWave (look in the downloads for SFX editing in the modding tools section). You might find a newer sound editing program that will save them without too much trouble, and they might just work for you then.
Micro$oft might have some older codecs that you could download as well.

Forget words, actions will show your true ambitions! The Battlefield,In many cases, the terrain of a battlefield can be the best resource a commander has. A clump of trees, an abandoned house, or a drainage ditch can all be powerful tools in the right hands
It looks like it may depend on your sound card too. Here is a link that gives a bit of a background.........and a beta project that Creative Labs is working on to address Vista sound problems for older games that use DirectSound and EAX.
