In recent news, Germany has banned Tom Cruise and filmmakers from using famous german building in a movie about an atempted assassignation of Hitler. The reason why they have banned them is because of Tom Cruise is a Scientologist. I made this topic for everyone to discuss the ethics of the debate, so dicuss!

Evil or Very Mad I, never it would prohibit him to play a role in a film, by, its sexual direction, its political direction, or by its religious direction. Would be prohibited it, for being a very bad actor, I do not believe that it is to the height of the paper. The family of the real protagonist of history, also refuses, to that Tom Cruise plays that role.

THATS THE POINT! Its actually not about Scientology. Only one country in the world considers Scientology as not beeing a religion and thats Greece Very Happy (and even this cradle of christian conservatism doesnt stand a chance of upholding that, because of int. Law.)

The Bendlerblock is also the site of the German Ministry of Finance today, thats another reason. Some documentaries where made there, but Germany does not like Hollywood depictions of their history, since in nearly all US Movies historical correctness dies in the moment a love story is included to assure higher ratings.

And the biggest issue is still Stauffenbergs family. I mean who would like to be depicted by a 1,60 middle class actor? Surely noone. Especially not if you are von Stauffenberg (combattant in Africa, lost eye and hand there) who was a Nazi up to 1942 and later decided to take part in the conspiracy against hitler.

Btw. Valkyre was a nice plan, but it was not Stauffenbergs. It was General Olbricht plan and Stuaffenberg was more a galleons figure than the actual planer.

TOM CRUISE IS The MOST CRAPPY ACTOR TO PLAY SUCH A ROLE, AND YES EVEN IF ITS NOT ABOUT SCIENTOLOGY; IT SHOULD BE ABOUT SCIENTOLOGY! Those guys use movies for convertion of people (modern goebbels methods) and surely know how to make a film popular before it is actually realized. With cruise that is the problem not his religion, but his promotional work for scientology.

Try getting this one in english, that covers the plot in an excellent way:
