The rate of fire of the Puma the 50mm KwK39/1l/60 with 2700 fps/ap rounds had a semi-automatic action! with a better rate of fire over the MK 3.
I still stick with this opinion i have found that the 50mm KwK39/1l/60 had an a auto unload action. also don`t be leave that the 50mm KwK39 had this unloader adaption very hard to find more info i had a number of people all over the world (Australia, England, Germany) search records but not much more has come to light. The MK 3 it looks to me is not semi auto and even know the puma has a two man turret the auto unload on recoil would i think make a better rate or equal to the MK 3, but not up to the speed of field AT 50mm KWK 39.

sry to dissapoint u, but like 90% of WW2 ATG/tank guns had semi-auto action.

exactly, same as most of other guns in all the countries took part in WW2.
And of coz no AVF gun (besides auto guns) has faster RoF than ATG of same caliber.
what we have is:
Pak36/38/40/43, KwK40/42, FlaK18/36/37,etc had semi auto action (SAA).
F-34/ZIS-5/20k, M37/M42/ZIS-2,F-22,ZIS-3/51k,etc had SAA.
75mm M3/MkV, 37mm M2/M3, 2pdr, 6pdr, 3inch M7, all had SAA.
So looks like it makes sence to believe that KwK39 had SAA as well.
BUt nevertheless KwK39/1 wouldnt have faster practical RoF than KwK39 due to 2 main reasons:
1)Tightness of turret. - that's pretty hard to reload long shells in such turret.
2)Muzzle break - no matter how fast u can load new shell, it's useless when u can't c anything for a several seconds due to muzzle flash .
And of coz KwK39/1 couldn't have faster RoF than PaK38.
