CSO Downloads link from Command Center is now directing you to the Downloads for CoI.

Still a little work to be done, but we are making progress.

thanks

I am trying to figure out why the Mod's I downloaded for the CoI are not working. I can ply the normal way without my disk. Then it tells me I need the disk for the MOD's. I have recently moved and have not found my disk. The online support has told me that I need to buy a new one.

That should only be the case if you don't have the maps installed.

Easily fixed by downloading and unzipping the maps to your \maps folder.

This is the "ERROR MESSAGE" I get when I try to use one the MODs I got from CloseCombat.org; Error: this mod requires exclusive use of the cc3.exe which has already been modified by previously installed mod.

The problem is that I don't even have any mods installed. The other issue has to do with the GD2 mod, when I went to use it it states that it is missing maps, I have unzipped and reloaded the mappack for this mod three times, and found nothing wrong with the map pack, ie all the maps are in the download where they should be.

If your file has entries below each Bracketed Header with no mods installed, it is corrupt.

This can happen if you have 2 instances of ModSwap open at the same time and install or uninstall a mod.

With no mods installed you need to open it with notepad and edit it to look like this

[InstalledMods]
[ExclusiveFiles]

Just the two headers between square brackets.

Save and you should be back in business

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
