My close combat 3 CD will only install the game til 100% then freezes when it tries to install direct x. Most annoying, guess there's no way to recover that?

So I bought Iron cross (the re-release of close combat 3) Downloaded it, installed it. Except the mod program from this site (Config51) dosen't seem to recognise it as cc3, and won't run. The game apparently has a built in mod runner, but it dosen't open when i click on it... Ideas?

I just want to play mods Crying or Very sad

That means you didn't do a full install... easily missed.

Run CloseCombatCC.exe From your support folder

C:\Program Files\Close Combat\Close Combat III\Support\CloseCombatCC.exe

download the mods from here:

Cross of Iron Downloads

or here

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
