Everyone post famous footage from WW2. I'll start:
Here's a link to one of the most famous videos from D-Day. It depicts the landing and the invasion.
At 00:12 you see footage of the u.s. soldiers as they storm the beach. It's become famous because its one of the rare videos that actually survived of the invasion....apparently most of it was lost or destroyed.

Nothing more embarrassing than a dead link?
Looks like there could have been some good stuff there. |

Great stuff!....For the battle of Ortona, the town looked almost completely destroyed, but the fighting didn't look nearly as intense as I've seen for other battles. Guess maybe the allies had already succeeded in routing most of the enemy by then.
Also, try to include a brief description of the video or image. Place in context with some background, it'll make everyone else's understanding of its significance better.
Here's another one. This one is from the battle of Okinawa. One of the most intense pacific theatre battles. I couldn't believe the VAST AMOUNT of tracer fire that lit up the air. It's almost like fireworks. How anyone could survive that is incredible.

here's another I forgot to include. Has a few words by a japanese kamikaze.
