I and a friend is playing a GC in CC2:ABTF, and both agree that lowering the requstition cost and incresing the number of units available will make the battles more interesting. Smile

I looked in to the files in the data folder, but I couldn't find where to change the values.

Hi KarlMortar,

Base-file "Teams" is the key for the requisition costs.
For GC-play you must change the AlOOB/AxOOB files inside the Ops's subfolder and the XXXOOB file.
(OOB = Order Of Battle).

go here for more guides on modding CC2:

Cheers

for lowering the cost of units you must check the 'teams' from 'data/base' and search for the 'Value' column

to increase/decrease the number, or to add/remove various units from the order of the battle you must edit the files from 'data/campaign' or 'data/ops'

if you need some help jut send me PM with the modification you want to implent and i'll glad to help

Hi Karl,

what also might help is the actual patch from TournamentHouse for better balancing:

EVERYTHING should be changed in CC2 to be "more interesting".... First; CC2 itself

When I try to change the teams file and start ABTF it says teams file corrupt.
What should I do?

And what should I change in the XXXOOB file?
It only says:

By the way, what is an Opel truck, Kubelwagen and a Jeep doing there? Confused

And for PJ, Ok it's not the best of the CC series, but I like the OMG operation much. Waiting for the OMG team to complete the mod for CC5! Very Happy

Hi Karl,

XXXOOB contains the inimum starting teams available for XXX Corps when it arrives on the maps.

Kübelwagen and Opel Blitz truck: the whole comment list is left over by Atomic from the days they developed CC2. They first started with CC1 team list. And CC1 contains Kubel and Opel. You will find these vehicles still defined in CC2's vehicle file. But they removed them from the Team file in the final version. The MacVersion of CC2-Help-file still contains a screenshot of an Opel in action in CC2.
