Hi everybody,
in order to overcome the final weeks before PJ makes his mod available to everybody that will contact him, I found some free time to compose an intro for the mod.
I hope you all like my cut&paste of original film and old time radio broadcasts.
I decided to post this video for everybody. I can not give any information about the mod itself, that is definately PJ's work.
Note: After two intros about stalingrad I was running out of unused material. Dont get bored during the arty barrages, audio is so interesting that i hope it compensates for any inconvenience.
Oops, this is a new submod, not the new version of standard SDK.
Hi Flick,
SDKDK was INTENDED to be a submod at the beginning of the development. Now, it is a true mod, with just less maps and BG's, but 60% od SDKDK in terms of graphics, sounds, Maps, etc.... is different.
I am sorry to tell you that SDK v2.0 that a lot of people are waiting for, will be a liitle posponed. For some reasons including:
1) I have to ajust the AI. it takes time.
2) Since the terrible crash of August, I had something else in my head, as you can understand... I am just a little better now. It has been terrible! I am not happy of it, put proud to resist and building now a new way for you, friends, to play these Stalingrad mods.....and the upcoming ones.
3) I worked a lot on Bir Hakeim. 17 maps on 23 are now finished, and 80% of thye mod files are OK. BH should be available for those who want it around Q1 or Q2 2009.
Well, Flick, please contact me on my EMail adress. Maybe you could be a tester of SDK 2.0 if you like it. And without that, let's stay in contact with the small community I have now built, growing day after day. Only quality people!

I honestly don't know if I have the time to playtest it, what with work..you know how it is!
But I'll definatly keep in contact with you, the BH mod sounds facinating..especially as it's new to me.
I spotted briefly an FJ gun crew in the vid...stock footage?
what do you mean? stock footage as panoply in game or stock footage as stock video footage?
I meant stock video footage of an FJ AT Crew operating in the East Front.
Not actual video footage of 4. Kompanie / Fallschirmjäger-Fla-MG-Btl.7 right?
Sorry for the confusion.
i am not sure of the exact date. I took a Wochenschau from February 1943. cant say anything about the exact unit. I used that gun video already for SOC video, so i bet you remembered it there...

OK, Polemarchos...thanks for the info.
I doubt that 4. Kompanie / Fallschirmjäger-Fla-MG-Btl.7 survived or was in any way fighting fit by Feb 1943.
I've been reviewing the screens over at the Combat Camera. The maps are really coming along very nicely. One gets a very stong feeling of being in the thick of a frozen h@*ll.
Thank you for all your efforts in bringing this phase of the Stalingrad history to us, PJ.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
