They look really beautiful and you know, there were too many fields and anonimous crossroads in the cc4 stockmaps... Very Happy

Which of them are fully compatible with TT vetmod? also referring to the enlarged maps... I hope any maps! Wink

About Rocherath, IMHO, I think the view is too much green compared to the bordering maps, maybe if more brown and gray are used instead of snow-white? Smile

Hello my friend,

Thank you for the nice words.....

I agree with you about the stock maps..and I'll go a
step further and say that many of them are just BORING!

All the New and Enlarged maps "Should" work with the
original game or VetMOD/VetBOB. It looks like a lot of
people have D/L'd theses maps and I haven't heard any
complaints thus far........

Rocherath? Sorry to hear about your disapproval Crying or Very sad
I just wanted to do something different, afterall at
the begining of the Bulge, it hadn't snowed yet
and this map represents a battle fought at the
beginning.....Too late to change the map now Embarassed

Not a disapproval, but just a consideration!
That's because when playing Germans in the first week you use camo equipments and simply because the green of this map doesn't match with the other maps, even if repainted and so not bright white as the stock maps! Maybe a darker green fits better... I dont' know!

I know that you spent a lot of time improving the maps, so I really very much appreciate your work! Thanks. Very Happy

Question Arrow About your maps: Should I put them in the map folder BEFORE or AFTER the TT's VetMod/VetBoB is installed? I really need to know! Rolling Eyes

last consideration: I hate very much cc4 stock Esch sur Sure, have you considered any modifications?

Hello again,

You sound like a BIG fan of cc4 and a person who
strives for perfection!

Ok, I admit, all of your concerns ARE valid...but please
understand, I don't claim to be an "Expert Map Maker".
Plus, I did this work myself with no one to help or suggest
that this or that is right or wrong...and sometimes you just
can't catch all the mistakes yourself. As far as this map
is concerned, I just wanted to do something different.
Maybe I should have done it like Rochefort (light snow)?
(That one was a REAL PAIN IN THE BUTT alot of Air Brushing!)

Originally, these maps were only for my own
enjoyment, but Tron, (TT) suggested that I release them
to the community so others could enjoy...

About your questions:

These maps should work with the Stock game or TT's Mods.
I am assuming that you have a VetBOB plugin so copy MY
maps to the folder AFTER you've installed the MOD

Esch sur Sure....
No, I don't have any plans on redoing any more maps
in the near future. My Wife and I just sold our home
and we are now busy looking for a new one.

Finally, try the Malamady map, it's excellent!

Thanks again for the kind words.

p.s. Why don't you try a little map making yourself?
It's fun Wink

Good work Ernie

I would have posted sooner but RL is killing my online time.

Hope to see more in the future.

One question:

Why did you not expand the western side of Stavelot?
Most people seem to agree the Allies dont have enough room to move on that side.

Just a question

Hello My Friend!

You said:

"Why did you not expand the western side of Stavelot?"

I was wondering when someone would ask than question!

If you look at all my "Expanded" Stock Maps
you'll see that ONLY the Left sides and the Bottoms
are expanded! ...Why? Because to expand the Right side,
(what you call West) or the top would require me to
Re-Code the whole damn map. If you enlarge only the "East"
side, then all you need do is re-code THAT portion youv'e
created The same holds true with the bottom of the map.

All I wanted to do with these maps was to provide
a little more "elbow" room so the enemy is not on top of
you when you start the game..............

So you see, I'M A LAZY ASS! Laughing

I havent played the maps yet,but im willing to bet that by just copying them into the CCIV wouldnt work.Got that whole VL thingy going on.
Not to say that they wouldnt work but"IF"the VL's are "NOT" the same then yea it's gonna wig out sonner or later. But to answer your question yes you have to put the maps in fbefore the plugin.if you do it while the plugin is installed you wont see them.

Once I get back from real life I will definatly have a looksey at these maps and thus begin destroying them.................................

I dont think it matters. All of Ernie's maps from this site have been renamed inside the zip to verwrite a stock CC4 map. The btd he wrote is made to fit into the strat map in the right place.
