All the screens are in game (and it runs high specs on a 3 year pc)
Some more realism fans are always welcome, you mod with notepad and you can actually make maps like those with the editor included!
Its no CC thou, squads are made off full stacks of Chuck Norris, they will always follow your orders! I´ll never forget my first Japanese soldier successfully Kamikaze a Tank...what was the guys name.. huu |

It doesn't look realistic enough for me - actually, it looks very fake. Also, it's so many years since 3Dfx and the blurred textures are still there? |

The inevitable question: can you take a "satellite photo" of such a map without a fisheye effect? |

sort off
you can not eliminate the fov of the camera totally- not with the previous editor- there will an update one with the game release this month.
http://files.filefront.com/RuralMAPrar/;9408775;/fileinfo.html
There you can see the minimap top down picture from a map, you need to be very high to eliminate the fisheye effect and then you lose detail and the texture stamp pattern became visible. You can always take closer pictures and use only the center area ..and then link them together..
I´ve tried modding the camera files (with that same idea in mind) with no success (except with a in-game map!! unfortunately could not replicate it) |

This is the usual problem although the picture with the beach (?) to the right looked quite good.

This is usually fraught with difficulty. |

yes, Its a beach, thanks.
I guess the map can always be used as a layout to be painted on top, using the 3d editor to get the shadows and tweak light.
The vast resources available can, of course, be used already. The trees, vehicles (+100) and buildings and since everything can be destructed (on the editor to) you can multiply those resources by 2 or 3.
Theres also to consider the trees. I never did like painted trees on CC maps (although very good maps have them).
It might be easier to add the CC code to the 3d engine, everything else its already in - in 3d. |
