We are now on day 28.
What has been happening on last day or 2 is that after last turn and into movement, the NAZI Battlegroups visible on the strategy map are losing units, i.e. they are losing a few tanks or some men or vehicles etc.
Is this a normal part of attrition for defending force or some weird bug?
We have done multiple saves of last turn in order to try and avoid this but for example on the 28th we have now done new versions of last fight and then into movement 5 times, and each time the Germans have lost some forces.
Well in fact after a few saves the correct German forces are displayed, but I will check with PZj.
The Germans have enough on their plate without losing their carefully husbanded resources so any arbitrary attrition is a bit much and detracts from the game.
I think PJ intended this attrition through editing and customizing the Forcepools data...so it's not a bug.
Hi squad leader, is this a certainty? Or an "I think"?...is there code that shows forcepools have been edited this way etc?
Sorry to sound like an ingrate, but everyone seems to just have an opinion, and no one seems certain! I am looking for a final definitive answer..
Thanks for responding tho.
Well...the CC5 forcepool data is designed for this...you can decrease of increase the units in the forcepools according to date and difficulty.
PJ edited his SDK Forcepool manually...and a quick look at it shows attrition is deliberately entered in the FP data.
Even in stock CC5 FP data...some teams in some BGs are deliberately lowered in quantity according to date.
I like the realism sought by PJ, but when you're playing SDK on elite level it becomes unrealistic as the Germans have precious few vehicles anyway and to lose them to thin air is a bit much.
