Quick Question: WaR Max Screen Resolution?

I ask humbly for this information. Is it 1600 x 1200 (as in CCM, CCV etc) or lower as in CCIV...

Maps can be displayed at 1600x1200 (but I'm not sure about the actual max res).
But of course the game menus/interface will be displayed in a tiny 800x600 box with black borders Wink

That's nice! 22" wide or 24"? Smile
BTW, the interface screens must look like a tiny stamp at 1920x1200 Wink

24" wide screen

The interface screens seems small on the screen but in reality the interface images at 800x600 are the same size on my monitor as on someones 15" or 17" at 800x600....

24" widescreen? That's nice!!!
I decided to wait for the 24" price drop and opted to upgrade my 20" LCD with a 22" widescreen + a 19" widescreen secondary LCD for a nice dual-LCD setup Smile

Actually the interface screen look fine at 1600 (the resolution I play CC5)...modern Graphic Cards and LCDs can display mid res screens pretty good. They might look slightly blurry at 1920 though.
As I said before...I wish S3T/Simtek gave us the option to display the 800x600 interface screen stretched instead of fixed aspect with huge black borders Sad
The details look so small in the small interface screens...can't even make out the weapon details sometimes.

Tejszd, not too many map are 1920 wide...so most of the time you're playing the battles with black borders on the left and right of the maps right?
Most maps are displayed fine when I used to play at 1400(on my 20")...but at 1600 I find that a lot of maps are just not wide enough.

Thanks for answers, just trying to decide whether to buy it. Didn't like the Matrix offering of Modern Tactics that much, maps were poor, units interesting but user interface not brill, gameplay was ok.

squadleader_id,

I do prefer the way CC5 doubles the resolution 800x600 becomes 1600x1200 on my screen over the fixed resolution of WAR.

For maps your right there a number of them have black bars but at least it doesn't crash like CC use to. War does have some large maps too so it isn't too bad. Definitely less scrolling at 1920x1200....

FYI, both CC4 and CC5 doesn't crash when displaying maps with black bars...it just depends on you Video Card drivers and how the driver handles different resolutions.
