Hello,

I was hoping some of you might have some good links for getting images for some different BG Unit Icons for WAR.

Im kinda board with the original Icons and wouldnt want to use the ones from TT's VetBoB mod seeing as how Firefox has those for his mod (That would be too repetitious)

I have been able to get some from both the Tamiya and Dragonusaonline web sites but they just dont have enough when it comes to certain Vehicles and especially Troops.

Here's one for a Panther I thought wouldnt look too bad.What do you think?
I thought it might be nice to have some background scenery if possible.

And does it really matter how one reduces and image and still try to keep it from becomming too small and blurry?

I also dont mind using Dioramas either.
I actually like them better than the box drawings but they have been very hard to find.

Found another one thats good for Vehicles.
Also is anyone here good at creating vehicle graphics?
I can do fine with some simple editing but suck at creating them from scratch.

Im looking for a new Tiger2 to replace the current one and would like for it to be on the scale of TT's VetBoB tanks and based on this photo.

great picture mike...I used to take digital shots from models then shrink them down and use that as a basis, allot of touching up after shrinking them. Are you going to release this as a new mod, change the force pools and allow some of the fancy german equipment to be used. Noticed allot missing while playing it even though it is slotted.

Does anyone have a good picture for the StuG IIIG from Operation Greif?
Darned if I can find one anywhere.
I need something along the lines of how these look.
I would really appreciate it very much.

If that's not an option what the best way to replace the color of an existing Stug to have an Olive Drab color?

That page looks very cool platoon_michael, but I think the drawings have too much shadows? but who knows maybe they would look better in game. Though I would prefer a 3D model to take pictures from different angles to take advantage of the tilt feature in CC.

I tried to do a sherman but I failed, it's very difficult! I do need some instructions, the ones by Atilla are for people already used to editing graphics and they are more for unpacking and how you should repack not really tips for painting or drawing.

Will try another technique now, instead of using the actual drawing of the tanks from that site, I'm going to draw on top of them using a transparent layer, much easier for having the turret and hull separated, instead of cutting and paste like I did, at least I hope so. The coloring will be the hard part, I will just do it very generic to see if I can do it.

Also, how does the game determines where the muzzle flash of the main, bow and coaxial guns are drawn?

I have the tank I just don't have a good enough picture to use for the Battlegroup screen.
I have the original one from VetBoB and another one I found but both just seem cartoonish to me.

what technique did you use for the vehicle? I also found this. I which I knew of a place full of this diagrams, instead I have to search the web for one in particular, this two seem to come from the same place so the source must be found.

EDIT: found it, I actually feel like I saw the site here, so I don't remember if I found it or was stored in the back of my head. Anyways here it is.

Looks to me TT used images from Saving Private Ryan on a few of the Allied Icons.
Only took me how many years to see that? Embarassed

I could really use some more links here if you got any.

I really seem to suck at finding good enough sites to come up with anything for troops.

Desperately need something for MG's and Mortars.
And for Troops.
How do I edit Google to do a search for another country?
I.E. If I lived in Germany wouldnt Google be better suited than a US Google?
