Yes it did. But wasn't that a part of the regular FP after a while? Don't think it was depending of actually capturing tanks.

Correct, but you could introduce house rules.

Furthermore, by examining the base files, it should be possible to copy entries across so that other tanks become available if captured.

Do you mean it is possible to do manually, or could it be integrated in a mod so it happens automaticly?

If im not mistaken TT's VetBoB had givin the Allies some German Weapons,I think a few Rifles and some Schrecks.
The Op.Grief aspect had Soldiers in Allied colors too.
Vehicles could be easily added to the Force Pool but wouldnt provide the same thrill as a captured one (inmho)

In CCIV I had seen a few times that Soldiers could pick up a Weapon off the ground, but havent seen it yet in WAR.

Definitely still happens.  but I think there's a rule (longstanding back to cc3) that the weapon they pick up must be equal or greater to what they possess.  Example if they have a machine gun they won't trade down to a rifle even if the MG is empty as I understand it.

RE:Tobruk

They did not turn weapons they captured in a particular battle immediately against the enemy... they had time to assemble the bush artillery... learn to fire and site it and then emplace it.

So what program can i use to edit save-games? Question

When i Use q-clone or BG edit it does not change the bg in saved games. This is at one hand a good thing because if u change battle groups in main database you would change the whole game. Problem is i do not yet know how to change them in saved games.

Please help. Sad

Try notepad, but take a copy of your saved game first!

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
