The map pack is a separate download and the maps must be unzipped into the CC5 maps folder before installing the mod.....

No you're not stupid, it's tricky to run the old cfg. OK, maybe you are stupid  Wink  but it's still tricky.  You're not a real CC player until you've f***ed up your CC5 install at least 5 times.

There have been some good instructions written, but they may be lost

So here

Uninstall CC5

Reinstall, use default path (Original disc is best, pirate copies - you're on your own)

Apply patch. The patch can be tricky, so run the game to see the correct version on the main splash screen

Put the map pack into the MAPS folder first

Run CFGV13 and install the mod from there

Remember, if CfgV13 hits an error, there is no turning back, you usually have to start from scratch. Until you fully understand the file system and how it swaps them it's best to just wipe everything and start again.

Search CSO forums and here for instructions - they DO exist

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
