The game has crashed for me with this patch.
When playing against the AI as both sides and against an opponant on game ranger.
Was going smoothly for 20+ battles then when trying to start the next battle....crash with a message saying problem with the CC.EXE file.
Reverted to the previous patch only....no problems so far and the campaign against the AI that had previously crashed is now playable
Von_Gruber, sounds like you upgraded an in progress campaign or operation and that is not recommended....
No, they were both new campaigns.
The 3rd campaign on gameranger was hosted by the other player....same result though.
After the crashes I uninstalled the game then reinstalled and added the official update plus the first beta patch.
The pervious crashed campaign was still there upon reinstallation and is now playable

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
