Hi,
I'm playing CC5 for a while now, but any time i restart my computer, and start playing it at resolution 1680x1050 for the first time, it runs ok. Then, if i leave the game and come back, the unit selection and interface is all sluggish. It takes about 1 second for the game to realise the mouse is over a unit, and everything is verrry slow to react.
I read a thread on the forum that said I should enable compatibility with Windows 98, and I did, and now it works very well however there is a drawback.
This means my max resolution is 1280x1024 which means I see less of the map on the screen.
Question: Does everyone play at low resolutions, or did someone figure out how to play CC5 at high res without slowdown?
