Hi fellas,

So, I just bought CC longest day off of Matrix games. What other patches do i need to add, or are the patches already in my download from Matrix Games?


Also:

1. I see there are Mods for each versions. Do I need to do anything else once i download the Mod to the orginal game. What I mean by that, do i need to move files into folders to make the mod work?

2. Can I play as the US from Normandy all the way to Berlin? Is there such a game or do I need to keep adding mods to make this happen?

3. Can i play as an open sand box?

4. If I get Close Combat 5 "longest day" can I add the "Battle of Berlin" as a mod to this version?

You need the 5.01 patch, download from the 'download section' here.

1- you need the configuration manager. you can also download that from the section here.

2- nope

3- you can create your own scenarios.

4- you can download the Battle of Berlin mod from here for CC5.

I just started the game and i notice this game doesn't allow me to go into "Boot Camp". for $40 i hope i received the complete game.

The Longest Day from Matrix is not CC5 though it does include a version of CC5 updated to run on it.

1. Mods will only run on a specific CC game but can come in a number of formats
- raw files which need to be copied to correct spot over writing the original files
- plugins which require the config manager (includes a script that over writes the original files)
- self extracting exe for the Matrix CC games that puts the files in a subdirectory thus the original files/game is intact

4. Battle of Berlin will not run on the Matrix CC5 included with the Longest Day

If you can not do the Boot Camp it means you are NOT running the main CC game included in the Matrix Game.

Mate, You need the "old" CC5 to play the mods..

I spent $40 and its not even the complete game, go figure. I wish Matrix games would have mention that.

To play the CC5 mod Battle of Berlin you need CC5 Invasion Normandy.

What you bought includes The Longest Day full game AND CC5 Invasion Normandy converted to run on The Longest Day.
