The amount of ammo is defined firstly by the weapons text which gives the number of round per clip for a weapon, and then either by the soldier txt that for anyone soldier type for the weapon type how many clips a soldier carries. Similarly for a vehicle.
I suggest:
1. save a copy of all the original data files and keep them safe.
2. Go to http://closecombat.matrixgames.com/LongestDay/tLDmods.html and dl The Longest Day Data workbook.
3. open the soldier txt vehicle txt and weapon txt in excel.
4. You should see these are the same as the workbook but without the headers and helpful check boxes.
5. Make your edits to the workbook.
6. Copy those edits to the opened txt files and save as a txt file.
7. Play.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
