Thats quite right, the right hand side has always been the combat side of the body, which is why a gentleman always walks on a ladies right so his sword arm is free to protect her........Also the right of an army in olden times was considered a place of honour, as it was traditionally from there that offensives were launched. Even today in the British army if several regiments are paraded the senior regiment will be on the right of the line, with precidence being given to the household or guards regiments. Does this happen in other armies as well, or is this another of our strange British customs:P ?
In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
