The .50cal HMGs in Wacht Am Rhein carry around 550 rounds. Split between Ap - Armour Piercing and AP Anti Personal. Most of the engagements do not have light armoured vehicles close in for the 50cal to be very effective. I think it should just be switched over to 550 rounds for anti pers.

It is a good MG but lacks ammo!
That´s why I never use it (CCV).

.50cal HMG in CloseCombat 2 is very useful when the germans has a halftrack. It could be very useful when suppressing fire to any infantry and some support teams.

I find that the .50 Cal HMG is useless in CC because of...
1) Not enough ammo
2) Too weak...

Wasn't the original .50cal HMG initially invented as an anti vehicular/armour weapon for WW1 usage? Or was that some myth i heard somewhere.
In anycase, low ammo and not as effective as i'd expect against infantry.
