I am interested Sapa.
I plan to play this mod after I am done the Stalingrad mod.
Any chance that the strat layer picture will be updated to show the new links between the maps?
Thanks for your efforts and time.

Hi Serg:
I imagine what you have typed is Russian... and I dont understand Russian at all.
However, I am guessing you are looking to buy a copy of CC5. You can find cheap copies on eBay. Search for "Close Combat Invasion Normandy"
Hepe this helps.

There are lots of copies for sale on eBay from reputable stores for 99 cents. Thats right - 99 cents! Add several bucks for shipping, and you can be the proud new owner of Close Combat 5 for under 10 bucks.

Hi there Diver:
Did you use the PlugIn Manager to install the GJS mod? If so, then you can simply load up the PlugIn Manager, select the GJS Mod, right click, and select Uninstall (or something close to that).
Then, voila you should be right back to the base CC5 install.
Click on your CC5 icon, and it should load up the base CC5.
Hope this helps.

Yup. A fella I work with plays it on his lunch break... while the graphics are simply amazing, the way it plays isn't quite my thing. I have never been one for building, and resource gathering.
It would be amazing to have Close Combat play style with the CoH graphics though.

Thank you Coyote for the information.
I have had some experience installing the Mods (I am currently playing the Stalingrad mod).
I see you are from the Netherlands. Both my parents, and their parents came from Holland in 1950. I am actually half Friesian
Anyways, thank you for your help, and hopefully we'll bump into eachother on the virtual battlefield sometime.
Best Regards,

Hi All:
I hooked up to Gamespy last night and saw a few people in the Close Combat Room.
My question is this, how do I know if I have the map that the hosting person wishes to play? Or does the multiplayer copy the map etc to the joining persons PC?
Also, are there any rules regarding choosing ones forces. I.e. Is there an unwritten rule that you should only have a maximum of two tanks, or whatever. Just curious thats all.
Thanks for your help and time.

Hey Muldoon, why not take ur love of Stal to www.gamespy.com I'm sure you will find plenty of takers to get a H2H session going.

Heh heh - I may just give that a try this weekend Pzt_Mac.
I live out in the middle of nowhere, but do have high speed wireless internet. It is intermittent from time to time... but for the most part is fairly stable.

To whomever created this Staligrad Mod - thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am on Day 9 of the campaign, and thoroughly enjoying myself. The north and south sectors I have relatively in control... on the central sector Russian Tanks are handing it to me.
I haven't had this much fun since I originally took the game out of the box.
Thank you for all your hard work.

Hi Sapa:
I tried that initially, but it was a real pain if I wanted to take multiple screen shots. Prt Scr, Alt-Tab, Paste, Save, Alt-Tab, next pic... you get the picture (no pun intended)
Thanks for you tips though.

Hi All:
I was just wondering how I could take screen captures while playing CC5. I tried the latest version of FRAPS... but no screen shots appeared in my Screenshot directory when pressing the F10 key. Perhaps I have configured FRAPS incorrectly.
What do you guys use to take screen shots?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks GMoney.
Arg... looks like I'll have to move the 24th Reg / 24th PD from the Tsarista Crossing back to the Ferry Crossing, or move the 15 Reg / 29 MD from Kuporonsoye to the Ferry Crossing. I am willing to bet I will have to fight for control of that map again...
Thanks for the info.

Forum: CC5 Stalingrad Posted: Thu Nov 02, 2006 5:55 pm Subject: Stalingrad - Front Lines / The River |
Hi All:
If this is a stupid question, I apologize in advance...
I am on Day 5 of the campaign, and control most of the southern part of the map. For example: I control Leather Works, Hill 120, Southern Train Terminal, Minina, Kuibyshev, Kuporosnoye, Grain Elevator, Southern Ferry Terminal and the Tsarista Crossing.
Now can the Russians come across the river at any point? The reason I ask is I have no German forces sitting on Southern Ferry Terminal or Kuporosnoye (even though they are both currently in German control), and am wondering if the Russians can now occupy those maps uncontested by simply coming across the river.
Again, I am sorry if this is a dumb question... but I am just not sure if the Russians can come across the river at any point.
Thanks for your help.
