Thanks for your kind words guys, i'm really curious to play your Surabaya mod squadleader_id, screenshots look amazing.

I've made vetmods for the CC4 Kreta mod for harder gameplay against the AI, larger teams for the opponent, smaller teams for the human player and adjusted force pools.

The AI is largly influenced by the location of the VL's, in the future i will try to adjust these for each vetmod (based upon experience) and incorporate the VL's in the vetmod plugins.

Setting to windows 98 compatibility does allow the game to work for gamespy, but if you set to 98 compatibility and try to play mulitplayer in the game by itself you lose all options to connect. Therefore make sure you switch compatilibity back to normal when hosting or joining games directly through the game.
how do you set it for windows 98 compatibility....step by step

In an effort to make a definitive guide on how to get the game running on Vista.... Vista users please post what you are doing.

So far we have this - http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS//modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4847. In baliki's post, he states that he enabled Win XP SP2 Compatibility. Nothing else he says seems to me to be the reason why multiplayer wont work.

Anymore input?

i cant seem to make it work...any suggestions

Hey Guys,

As some of you might know i'm serving in the Dutch armed forces. Because of our presence in the south of Afghanistan I have to serve a 4,5 month tour starting the beginning of April.
Due to fact that I have not recieved all the files that I need I am unable to release a beta or a full version of my mod. Therefore I expect it to be delayed until at least autumn of this year.

I hope you can understand this. also I wont be able to respond as quickly to pm's mails or post as you are used from me.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause .

Cheers Buck

Denmark is an ally and has helped us in the war.

But why we went to Iraq? I dont know. Bush is an idiot, one of the worst presidents in our history. We should have only attacked Afghanistan, thats where bin laden is.

But dont worry my friend, Bush only has one more year in office, after that, things will change and we will not be as arrogant or selfish as Bush has made this country.

Tell your cousin thanks for his service!
will do,and yes we are looking forward to november...and i agree ,what if he had put those 150000 troops in afghan..no more taleban...later dude

Niels Bohr did the research on nuclear fusion...he was not involved in making any bombs.I can understand why you used the bombs...but to blame him for all accidents on nuclear plants ??? is the inventor of the car responsible for all car accidents?.but lets make peace my friend we are allies in nato...do you have friends or family in iraq or afghanistan...i have a cousin in afghanistan.but one thing puzzles me,what if bush had send your troops to afghan instead of iraq.reply if i havent pissed you of to much

Nifty little gun. I can see how in some situations it might be the best, like if some guy is about to rob you

Geez! I never knew that "Walking the dog, getting the mail or taking out the garbage" were such dangerous and lethal exercises that one needed to be heavily armed first. What about shopping trips or taking my kids to school or even attending university classes perhaps? What do I need then, an ASLAV with close air support overhead? I guess I'm so sheltered where I live here, I've never had to worry about a simple walk down the street. Then again, I'm forever grateful that when they wrote up the Aussie constitution in 1898 and ratified it in 1901, they didn't add a "Second Ammendment". I'm happy to be living in a place where I don't feel the need to walk around armed.

Yeah well...You Australians were handed your independence, we had to fight for ours...hence the different policies regarding guns...But its that same fighting spirit...the never give up attitude that has made America so great....our willingness to strive against the impossible, to help the weak and to aim higher than others that has made the U.S. the conerstone of medical research, scientiific doscoveries, freedom and democracy, and philanthropy.

Hans Ulrich Rudel...wth....the guy was a one man army. Really impressive...he should get every medal ever created. Same for Wittman, as I think its equally as hard to destroy tanks if you're in a tank also....more vulnerable I would say.

A while back ago I remembering hearing about this Japanise fighter pilot who reportedly had 70+ kills. I thought that was remarkable.
i read in the book "world whitin war " by g.lindermann that an american soldier had killed 500 japanese soldiers during the pacific campaign....talk about nightmares.....and he was a rifleman not a machinegunner...

Hans-Ulrich Rudel was the only person to be awarded the Knight's Cross with Golden Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds.

Rudel flew 2,530 combat missions and successfully attacked many tanks, trains, ships, and other ground targets, claiming a total of 2,000 targets destroyed - including 800 vehicles, 519 tanks, 150 artillery guns, a destroyer, two cruisers, a battleship and 9 aircraft which he shot down.

(from WikipediA)

So who do you guys really like....it can be any character, good or bad....and he can be from any war in history. It could also be a character from a war movie.

For, i'd probably have to choose Alexander. No one accomplished so much and changed history so decidedly that it just makes him a military genius!

Also the character Jackson from SPR is really cool!
mine would be Michael Wittman...his scores of 138 tanks is unbelievable...its almost an entire panzer division.but hero no...favorite war character yes.

I knew it.

The nigth of September 16, Commander of 1st polish division Zygmunt Berling ordered General Galicki commander of the 3rd polish division to cross the Vistula, they tried to cross for some days and made a little advance north and south of the Poniatowski Bridge where they created a bridgehead and expanded it some blocks. By the 19 the Polish of the 1st army and the AK where figthing side by side, but for the 22 the bridgehead was destroyed. The 1st Polish Army lost at least 2000 soldiers taking Praga district and crossing the Vistula.

I don´t know if they will be included in the Mod.
thanks mate...but am i right that the russians did have some brigdeheads on the west side of the river?...i know gen.Rokkosovskij told stalin that he couldnt take the city.
well i hope you find the time to make the mod
