1) enter CD in a CDROM drive and give it time to browse..

2) Some mods offer a no-cd executeable, so that u dont have to have the CD in the drive alltimes

3) create an image of the CD and load it on an virtual drive if 1 or 2 are no option for you.

Im not using a mod.

1: I put the CD in.
2: I push play.
3: The screen goes black.
4: I get this Error.

:Update.

I click browse, and click on the cd. and the game works.

Thanks for your speedy replys.

btw.

there should be a no cd exe fpr regular CC5 as well somewhere in the download section.
I think it was the CC5 Misc folder. check there...

ok found it :

http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=57&min=10&orderby=titleA&show=10

will release you from browsing the CD every time.

just an advice, try out mods. regular cc5 is very lame.

to play online and add mods u need the 5.01 patch.

then just follow the howto's here: (example Gold Juno sword)

If you have installed the CC5 patch 5.01 you could have this, and have to browse to your cd player where the CC5 Cd is, just the first time...

But you probably knows this allready... Wink

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
